Welcome to SkipStash. By downloading, installing, or using the SkipStash app or website (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). Please read them carefully.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using any part of the Service, you confirm that you are at least 13 years old and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
SkipStash is a personal habit-tracking app that lets you log purchases you chose not to make ("skips"), track savings totals, manage spending habits, and optionally share activity with friends. The Service does not connect to bank accounts and does not provide financial advice.
3. Your Account
- You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential.
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
- Notify us immediately at support@skipstashapp.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
4. User Content
You own the data you enter into SkipStash (habit names, skip logs, goals, etc.). By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store and process that data solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.
You agree not to enter content that is illegal, harassing, or otherwise harmful. We reserve the right to remove content or accounts that violate these Terms.
5. Friends Feed and Social Features
When you use the Friends Feed, your skip activity may be visible to users you have connected with as friends. You can manage or remove friend connections at any time. You are responsible for the connections you make within the app.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or its infrastructure.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to extract the source code of the app.
- Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers against the Service.
- Impersonate another person or entity.
7. Intellectual Property
All content, design, code, and trademarks associated with SkipStash are the property of SkipStash or its licensors. Nothing in these Terms grants you a right to use our trademarks, logos, or branding without prior written permission.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES. USE OF THE SERVICE IS AT YOUR SOLE RISK.
SkipStash is a habit-tracking tool only. It does not provide financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. Savings totals displayed in the app are estimates based on data you enter and should not be relied upon for financial decisions.
9. Limitation of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SKIPSTASH SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM SHALL NOT EXCEED $100.
10. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. You can request deletion of your account and data by contacting us at support@skipstashapp.com.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Service, with or without notice.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the effective date above. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Alabama, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Alabama.
